Europe On A Budget - May 26th, 2010

Unless you have an endless stream of money coming in without any complications, you have to have a budget, big or small, for any vacation. But a European vacation can strain just about any vacation budget because of plane tickets alone, let alone hotels or anything else. Some have chosen to stay in hostels and use other cheap accommodations, even backpacking and getting tired or only being able to do so many things, because you generally should not and cannot leave your things in hostels. But whether you are going through hostels or have found prices on 5 star hotels on Expedia or on your own for that matter, European river cruises can work as an option for entertainment.

If you are going to Europe on a budget, European river cruises can give you a cheap option to see many of the major sites without spending a fortune. You can actually see sites like Big Ben, and many canals in certain parts of Italy can allow you to see many buildings that you can only access using European river cruises and other boats. It depends on the country as to the availability. But many are more available in parts of Italy, which could be preferable anyway with all there is to see.

With European river cruises, you could go with your friends, your family, kids, or fiancée. It really doesn’t matter. They have European river cruises suited for just about every group and for that matter, every budget. There are many ways to budget on any given vacation, and there are many ways to save on a European vacation. But European river cruises are one of the major ways to get the experience that you want.

I would definitely recommend looking into couch surfing for the young, especially in college. It can be a better experience than staying in hostels, even getting a free tour guide in some cases. But for some, hostels can also be a fun experience, staying with random people, seeing the sites with new people, making new friends, etc. But of course, it depends on the individual, and it of course depends entirely on your individual situation.
